Weather Flying Training

When your windscreen is full of dark clouds you need the confidence to put the aircraft in the safest position. With decades of flying experience Bill has seen some of the worst weather Mother Nature can turn out. Operators have turned to him when the weather is down or the fronts are moving in to gain important training in the actual weather to gain the confidence needed to keep them safe.
Today’s high performance aircraft can cover the Northeast’s icing and high winds to towering thunderstorms in the south all in one tank of gas. TBM Pro Training searches out what Bill calls “a beautiful day” to find the actual conditions.
The onboard weather radar has become one of the most misunderstood instruments in today’s modern cockpit. With operation and design rooted in 50+ year old technology it is easy to see why NEXRAD and advanced uplinked weather have become the norm. Relying on this uplink weather alone has proved to be deadly to many flights where just a basic knowledge of the weather radar would have made all the difference.

Bill has a passion for the radar and teaching it to students and seminars with a way that makes it understandable for all. With TBM Pro Training’s Radar and weather courses you will learn to master those red blobs and gain confidence flying in the weather that keeps many on the ground.
